FEMFAT Academic Award

The Engineering Center Steyr (ECS) develops the worldwide known and successful fatigue-software FEMFAT. Since many years, the ECS relies on the cooperation with technical colleges, universities and F&E institutes. Beside the own innovation power, collaborations form the foundation for the high end technology FEMFAT is known worldwide.

It is of high interest for us to further strengthen these collaborations, to depthen engagement in the area of fatigue life prediction and to foster students interests in fatigue.

This intention laid the foundation to initiate the „Academic Fatigue Research Award “. This price will be awarded as from 2019 during the International FEMFAT User Meetings in Steyr, Austria. This bi-annual conference enables a broad discussion forum to exchange with users from industry, experts from research and science and the FEMFAT development and support team.
